SAN FRANCISCO — Outfielder Mitch Haniger is not expected to make his Giants debut this homestand, manager Gabe Kapler said before the team’s home opener at Oracle Park on Friday.Their highest-priced free-agent addition is more likely to make his debut during the club’s upcoming trip to Detroit and Miami starting April 14, Kapler said. (KRON) -- The San Jose Police Officers’ Association fired its executive director in the wake of a drug smuggling scandal, union officials told KRON4 Friday. Joanne Marian Segovia, 64, was charged by the U.S. Department of Justice last week with illegally importing synthetic opioids, including fentanyl, to her San Jose home.Federal investigators said Segovia ordered thousands of opioids, used the police officers union's address for some mailing transactions, and re-distributed drugs across the country.The San Jose Police Officers’ Association announced Friday that it completed the first phase of its internal investigation into Segovia and terminated her employment. OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta resumed its flight Friday after being diverted to Oklahoma City a day earlier.The airline said in a statement that the flight was diverted “out of an abundance of caution due to an onboard medical issue.”Passengers told KOCO-TV that at least three flight attendants began feeling sick during the flight Thursday.“They told us they were having trouble breathing and that there was something about them being nauseous in heat,” passenger Emmy Kelly said. “They didn’t give us a ton of information.”“The head stewardess was actually having trouble breathing at some point,” another passenger, Greg Everett, said. “She was seated and using the oxygen mask.”Emergency Medical Services Authority spokesperson Adam Paluka said three people were transported by ambulance from the airport to a hospital. (AP) — Seven women who have sued to challenge the admission of a transgender woman to their sorority at the University of Wyoming can’t remain anonymous in court, a judge has ruled in a case highlighting tension over belonging for transgender people in the least-populated state.The women must refile their lawsuit with their real names by April 20, U.S. District Judge Alan Johnson in Cheyenne wrote Thursday. “The bottom line is this.
